Plea from NCVC on VAWA

Per an announcement from the NCVC: "Late yesterday, by a vote of 415 to 4, the House of Representatives passed the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). The National Center for Victims of Crime and our allies have learned that unless the Senate passes VAWA immediately, the bill will be held over until next year. Today may be our last chance to get a vote this year. Please call your Senators as soon as possible. Urge them to pass the Violence Against Women Act. Remind them how important this funding is to programs in your state that work to end violence against women and help victims recover from sexual assault, stalking, and dating and domestic violence."
